Saint Clair Godfrey's Creek Reserve Pinot Gris 2008 The wine is full-bodied and has a soft round oily texture on the palate showing pear and almond with touches of spice and bread crust. Winemaking: The fruit was crushed and pressed quickly at cool temperatures to extract the full complement of flavour, phenolic and aroma compounds required. Following the settling period the clear juice was racked to a combination of stainless steel and old French oak barrels and then fermented using selected yeast at cool temperatures to retain fruit flavour and freshness. Food Suggestions: Enjoy with lightly spiced Asian cuisine or fresh summer salads with pan-fried scallops, white fish and aioli.
